We've stayed current with the constant updating of information regarding what is required of us, as a salon, in order to welcome you back safely. We'd like to share a glimpse of what it's all going to look like when we are finally able to reopen our doors.
First, we believe the safest way to handle the situation is to treat everyone, including ourselves as if we are infected. The State Board of Barbering & Cosmetology, along with the CDC, who governs us, has posted guidelines for salons. Our plan is to go beyond what is recommended and required.
The following list will outline the guidelines, as well as inform you of what to expect upon returning to Habit. The guidelines will be refined and adjusted, so rather than sending you endless emails, we've created this menu page. Please refer to it before your appointment for up-to-date information.
Check-In
- You can now let yourself in. Please use the door code provided in your appointment confirmation email and we will meet you in the waiting area.
- We understand the world is opening up, but we prefer a slower roll out.
- As of April 1, 2022 it is encouraged but not manditory to wear a mask. We will still be wearing ours.
- We are currently still on pause serving beverages prior to your treatment.
During Appointments
- We have resumed sugaring and waxing areas of the face typically covered by your mask. That means lip, chin, and side of face hair removal will be offered. We ask that you only remove your mask while those services are being performed. Masks stay on as much as possible.
- Bed linens have been replaced with sanitizable sheeting. Body sugaring and waxing will require the addition of a paper sheet that will be disposed of after every client. Think doctor's office vibe....bring a warm sweater if you run cold!
Sanitation Protocol
- Each area, all tools, stations, and equipment will be sanitized and disinfected between each client. We have all individuality updated our certification on sanitation protocols via BarbicideTM and OSHA.gov
Service Duration Times
- At this point, we don't how long it will take to remove the additional "growth" you have cultivated during our time of closure - we are still getting a ton of first timers! This means that service times, as posted on our website, will not correlate to the actual service time you experience. For this reason, please allow yourself some wiggle room getting to your next stop. It's best not to schedule us into a jam-packed personal day. We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we get into the flow of this new norm.
Cancellation Policy
- We will not charge for a last-minute cancellation due to being sick. But, please, let us know as soon as possible so we can adjust our schedules accordingly. After months of closure, our waiting lists will be long and time is valuable.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. We thank you again for being with us and supporting us on this challenging journey. We can't wait to see, or meet you!
